Memphis Heat is an album by Canned Heat & Memphis Slim, released in 2021. Memphis Heat includes a.o. the following tracks: “Back To Mother Earth”, “Black Cat Cross My Trail”, “Down That Big Road”, “Whizzle Wham” and more. The album is a Black Friday, Coloured Vinyl, Limited Edition blues LP. These are the 1970-1973 studio collaborations between Memphis Slim (one of the great blues pianists) and Canned Heat. This release is considered to be more "blues" than "blues rock" as the Memphis Horns give this album an extra boost of funk.
