Speak & Spell ist das Debütalbum der britischen Synthpop-Band Depeche Mode. Es erschien am 5. Oktober 1981 und konnte in Großbritannien bereits den zehnten Platz der Charts erreichen. Es wurde in der Originalbesetzung der Band mit Dave Gahan, Martin Gore, Andy Fletcher und Vince Clarke aufgenommen. Vince Clarke verließ die Band nach der Veröffentlichung des Album, um mit Yazoo und danach mit Erasure weiter zu machen.
